About me
Welcome to my homepage! My name is Jiangguo Zhang and I am a Ph.D. student in Bioengineering at Rice University. My research focuses on using multi-disciplinary models to better understand biological systems, specifically applying deep learning techniques to extract Myxo cell aggregation features and collaborating with system biologists to build chemical kinetics models to understand cell pathways. My ultimate goal is to use these models to cluster mutant strains into different genetic pathways.
I am advised by Dr. Oleg Igoshin in biophysics and Dr. Ankit Patel in deep learning. I am deeply interested in the intersection of these two fields and how they can be applied to biological research.
Thank you for visiting my homepage. I hope you find the information here informative and helpful.
